The City of Lamesa hereby cancels the General Election scheduled to be held on May 4, 2024, In accordance with Section 2.053(a)
of The Texas Election Code.

OFFICERS TO BE ELECTED:
- District 1 - 3 - Year Term
- District 4 - 3 - Year Term
- District 5 - 3 - Year Term
Qualifications of Mayor, Council Members, and other Officials as outlined in the City of Lamesa Charter,
- Shall be a resident citizen of the City of Lamesa
- Shall be bona fide residents within the City
- Must continue to reside within the City
- Shall not be indebted to the City of Lamesa Shall not hold any public office of emolument
- IMPORTANT DATES
- January 17, 2024 - First day to file for a place on the ballot
- February 16, 2024 - Last day to file for a place on the ballot
- April 4, 2024 - Last Day to Register to Vote
- April 23, 2024- Last Day to Apply for Ballot by Mail (Received, not postmarked
- April 22, 2024 - First day of early voting
- April 30, 2024 - Last day of Early voting
- May 4, 2024 - Election Day
